Benjamin was diagnosed with sarcoma mid 2025. From that moment on, he faced everything head-on. He underwent multiple surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy, showing extraordinary strength, courage, and determination throughout. Even during the hardest and final moments, he was still Ben, our positive, caring man who was always thinking of others before himself and never for one second lost his unique, quirky and entertaining personality.
Helping charities meant a great deal to him from the recent fundraisers he has done for his grandparents. Ben genuinely cared about making a difference, and anyone who knew him will know just how much this page, and what it stands for, would have meant to him.
Sarcoma is a type of cancer that develops in the bone and soft tissue. It is difficult to diagnose and one of the hardest to treat. Because of how rare and uncommon Sarcoma is, it’s often diagnosed too late, symptoms are missed, misunderstood, or dismissed, especially in young people who are assumed to be healthy.
More funding is desperately needed for sarcoma research, awareness, and early detection. Catching it sooner could mean the difference between treatment and short lived lives. It could mean more young people getting the chance to grow older, to live fully, and to keep lighting up rooms the way Benjamin did.
