The Claire Lupton Fund

Raising funds for Sarcoma UK

Claire's family and friends have set up this Group Fund in her memory after her death on 27th December 2025.

Claire was a passionate advocate for the sarcoma community and a dedicated supporter of Sarcoma UK. She gave her time, energy and care generously across the charity, driven by a deep commitment to improving the lives of people affected by sarcoma.

Living with mesenchymal chondrosarcoma for over eight years, Claire was determined to use her experiences to empower others. She worked closely with healthcare professionals and industry partners to improve patient care, including advocating for better-designed PICC lines after experiencing problems herself. She also spoke openly about the mental health impact of cancer, sharing her insights with professionals at conferences and championing more compassionate, personalised care.

As a member of our Grant Review Panel, Claire brought thoughtfulness, integrity and compassion to her role, consistently challenging us to consider the real-world impact of research for sarcoma patients and their families. In reflection of her dedication, she was nominated for Volunteer of the Year at our Shining Star Awards last year.

Claire’s passion for Sarcoma UK also inspired those closest to her. Her friends came together to fundraise for the charity in her honour, a reflection of the love, strength and determination she sparked in others, and of her unwavering commitment to supporting everyone affected by sarcoma.

Claire will be greatly missed, but her impact on Sarcoma UK and the wider sarcoma community will not be forgotten.
